CIBOLA COUNTY, NM – The Cibola County Commissioners have officially approved a significant emergency air medical transportation agreement with PHI Cares, a division of PHI Medical. This partnership ensures air medical transport benefits for all residents within Cibola County, New Mexico.
The agreement, effective from January 1, 2024, to December 31, 2024, stipulates that residents transported by a PHI Air Medical aircraft from Cibola County, or its adjacent counties will incur no additional out-of-pocket expenses.
Key Benefits and Enrollment Details:
• No extra costs for emergency air medical transportation under PHI Cares membership when transported within the specified coverage area.
• In emergencies, residents should first contact 911, then inform PHI Cares at 1.888.I.Fly.PHI (1.888.435.9744) with membership number #73113 and transport details. Residents are encouraged to pick up their membership card at one of the designated distribution locations.
• Cibola County residents are exclusively offered the opportunity to upgrade their PHI Cares Membership to National Household Coverage for 1, 3, or 5 years, at a special annual rate of $30 per household.
