Roger Charles Hocker
A celebration of life for Roger Charles Hocker who passed away suddenly on Feb. 8, 2020 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, will be held on March 21, 2020 at 10 a.m. at Los Duranes Community Center, 2920 Leopoldo Rd. N.W. in Albuquerque. A family burial will be at Sunset Park. All Services have been cancelled.
Roger was born on May 4, 1975 and lived most of his younger years in Grants, N.M., after the family moved to Grants in 1978. Roger attended schools in Grants through the 11th grade, before moving to Albuquerque and graduating from high school there.
Roger loved sports, basketball, football, baseball and swimming. He participated in many youth programs in school and through the Grants Recreation Department. He was a big fan of the NFL and the NBA. The Miami Dolphins and Los Angeles Lakers were two of is favorite teams. He also loved music from Rock to the classics.
Roger was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp. Our beloved son, brother, father and friend will be deeply missed. He always had a big smile and happy go lucky attitude making friends wherever he was. May God bless you and keep you always.
Roger was preceded in death by his mother; Barbara Ann Miller Hocker in 2007.
Roger is survived by his four grown children; Shandel, Iesha, Joshua and Roger Jr. father; John. brothers: Jeremy and wife Angie, Sean and wife Judith, and nieces and nephews.
