Your voice matters: Casting your ballet
When it comes to government, most people don’t think that they have a say in how things work. That is not true. When you vote, you are declaring that you want a specific person to represent you in government. Voting is the most important and patriotic thing that we can do, seconded only by serving in the military. Cibola County is massive, home to over 27,000 people, according to the 2015 census; yet only 8,017 people voted in the 2016 Presidential election, Politico reports.
We can do better. It is time for us to stand up tall and tell our elected officials that they work for us, but we cannot do this unless we vote. If an official does not work in our best interests, then they should be voted out.
