Your Voice Matters: Early voting

The general election has finally arrived, and with it so to has the civic responsibility of every American adult – voting. Finding the time to vote can be difficult, especially on Nov. 6, the day of the election, that is why early voting was invented.

Early voting has officially opened; it’s quick, it’s simple and it’s important. If you want to be an early voter (yes, you still get your “I voted” sticker.) you need to go to the county building on 700 E. Roosevelt Ave., next to Smith’s. As you walk through the doors, there will be a large sign with an arrow pointing to the County Clerk’s Office reading, “vote here.”
