April 15 Prevent Child Abuse
This Saturday, the 15th, residents with posters or banners shaming child abusers will walk our First and Second Streets, participants meet and conclude at the public library. Time – 10 am.

Join the young-at-hear Saturday, April 15 at the Double Six Art Gallery to make and enjoy one. Fun-time begins at 2 p.m.
Milan Trek for Trash
On Saturday, April 15, 2023 the Village of Milan will be giving coupons for the dump and have dumpsters at the Village of Milan Municipal Court 630 Uranium Ave. Milan NM 87021 for those who have larger items (furniture, appliances, etc., and a vehicle to haul them with). Dump coupons will be given out ONLY on Saturday April 15, 2023. You must pick up your dump coupons at Village Hall 623 Uranium Ave. The Village of Milan will be picking up bagged trash and large items, no rocks or dirt. Have your tree limbs cut to 3 feet in length. We will only pick up at the sidewalk. Please help your senior/disabled neighbors get their trash to the sidewalk. Sign up deadline for items to be picked up has passed.
Cibola Amateur Radio Club Meeting
The Cibola Amateur Radio Club of NM LLC KE5FYL is having a monthly meeting on 04-20-23 at 6 PM at Rosie’s Restaurant in Grants, NM at I40 Exit 81. The Public is invited to attend for video presentations and other information on how to acquire an amateur radios license and the new GMRS license which requires no testing and can be used by the whole family. Visitors wishing to arrive early may wish to order from the restaurant menu before the meeting starts at their own expense. Radio skills are a safety net for anyone wishing to have other means of communication in the event of a disaster when cell phone and internet services, or activities in wildness areas where cell phones services often do not work.
April 22 Free Movie – “I Confess” What will an innocent priest do after accused of being a murderer? Join movie fans Saturday, April 22 in the Double Six Art Gallery at 2 p.m. to watch “I Confess” Former Cibola County resident, Anne Baxter, and Montgomery Cliff star in this Hitchcock-directed film. Venue is on Route 66 / 1001 W. Santa Fe Ave.
Grants Community Cleanup If you cannot make it to the clean-up, take pride in cleaning up your own yard or neighborhood. Trash containers will be placed at the following locations: Elm Park at 1150 Elm; San Jose Park at San Jose Dr.; MOC at 1400 Lobo Canyon Road; Police Department at Roosevelt; Kiwanis Park at Corner of Melvin and Vernon; Mirabal Park at Gabaldon Hill; Future foundation Center at 549 Washington; Wells Park at 800 Sakelares Boulevard. No Dumping of tires, oil, paint or hazardous materials will be allowed.
April 29 Free Youth Activity – Mobile Making
Babies find mobiles interesting. So do adults. Why? Is it the movement? Is it the colors? Is it the chapes? Each viewer has their answer. The Double Six Art Gallery will host and challenge visitors of all ages to create an attractive, balanced mobile Saturday, April 29. Time is 2 p.m. and venue is on Route 66 / 1001 W. Santa Fe Avenue.
