This past Saturday, October 11, we held our second annual Autumn Festival @the Elks, and what a fantastic day it turned out to be!
Being that October is domestic violence awareness month we teamed up with Roberta‘s Place to bring you DV awareness, live music, tons of free games, great local vendors, live music and of course, our communitybuilt bonfire; safely watched over by our friends at the Grants Fire Department.
We want to send a huge thank you to everyone who came out, supported, and helped make this event special. Your energy and smiles are what keep this festival growing year after year!
With lots of help from Rosie’s Cafe, this was also our first-ever Chili Cook-Off, and we’re already excited to make it even bigger next year with new categories for red, green, heat, flavor, and salsa! Congratulations to Chris Molina, who took home Most Heat and People’s Choice, and to Monica Soto for Best Flavor! Winners earned awards, cash prizes, and festival Tshirts.
