CIBOLA COUNTY, N.M. — Sheriff Larry D. Diaz announced that the Cibola County Sheriff’s Office will conduct saturation patrols and traffic safety checkpoints from January 18 through February 15 throughout Cibola County.
These efforts will focus on impaired driving, speeding, and other unsafe driving behaviors. Deputies will also take time to educate drivers on roadway safety, including the importance of sober driving, seat belt use, and following traffic laws.
“Our priority is keeping our community safe,” said Sheriff Larry D. Diaz. “Through enforcement and education, we aim to reduce crashes and promote safer driving habits.”
Motorists are encouraged to drive responsibly and plan ahead. All checkpoints will be conducted in accordance with New Mexico law.
