GRANTS, N.M. – The Grants-Cibola County Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the City of Grants and the Lodgers Tax Board, invites the community to a full day of patriotic fun, food, music, and fireworks at this year’s 2025 4th of July Celebration.
The celebration begins with the 85th Annual Independence Day Parade, themed “Celebrating Our Mining Legacy,” and continues with live entertainment, over 30 vendors, and an evening concert and fireworks show to cap off the holiday.
Parade Kicks Off at 9A.M.
The parade will begin at 9:00 a.m., starting at the intersection of Wayne Avenue and Santa Fe Avenue, and travels down First Street, ending at the Grants Public Library.
This year’s Grand Marshal is longtime community member and miner Jack Farley, who will ride in a classic convertible provided by Ed Corley’s Ford. Parade entries include floats, lowriders, local schools and clubs, marching bands, and more.
The Grants Police Department and City’s Street Department will help manage safety and keep the parade moving smoothly. Float judging will take place along the route, with awards given for Spirit, Theme, and Overall Presentation.
Post-Parade Celebration at Fire & Ice Park
Immediately after the parade, the festivities will continue at Fire & Ice Park, where more than 33 vendors will offer a wide array of family-friendly fun, including handmade crafts, custom tumblers, face painting, and jumpers.
Live music will be provided by Power Drive, with a special performance by the Full Force Dance Team. The concert will run from after the parade until 2:00 p.m.
Food vendors will be serving everything from snowcones and funnel cakes to Navajo tacos, hot dogs, fry bread, turkey legs, and more. Local crafts and goods will be on display for purchase from Cibolacommunity vendors.
Afternoon Rodeo and Evening Fireworks
At 2:00 p.m., the celebration shifts to the Grants Rodeo Grounds, where Wild West Days will take place at the Cow Palace.
Following the rodeo, Chevel Shepard, winner of The Voice, will perform a live concert on-site.
The day ends with a spectacular fireworks show at 8:45 p.m., launched from above Grants High School. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and enjoy the show from nearby viewing areas.
