GRANTS, N.M. – Grants High School’s National Honor Society students raised nearly $200 to support the Grants Animal Care Center selling concessions at the GHS home Pirate Baseball game on March 29.

The students hosted a concession stand during a baseball game and set up a donation box at the high school to collect additional contributions from students and staff. Thanks to their efforts, the Animal Care Center received much-needed supplies and a boost of community spirit. Animal Care Center Staff Director Diane Rowe and NHS Advisor Aleisha Lundstrom helped guide the project.

Grants High School National Honor Society Members who participated were Shianna Lewis (sitting on left); and then in order from left-to-right: Laila Martinez, Leilani Ortiz, Isabella Barela, Trey Hardy, Allison Hobbs, Noah Lundstrom, Gabriella Gonzales, Joseph Martinez, Lukas Colburn, Gary Chavez, and Ryan Tortalita.
