GRANTS, N.M. – A group of local artists and supporters came together March 21, 2026, in a show of music, faith and community support for a local man named Christian Aragon, helping raise about $1,500 for his upcoming surgery in Colorado.
According to Aragon's mother Adele Aragon, the effort brought together a growing brotherhood of local performers including Aragon, Kodiac Sizzle, K.o.m.o.k Perez, Will Murray, M.I.C. Gamie Grillz and The Blazin Apes. The artists are also preparing to tour throughout the Southwest and Four Corners region, funding and operating the tour themselves while continuing to support one another and their community.
Christian’s mother said the family prefers to call the journey “Christian’s Victory” rather than a battle or fight, saying they believe he is going to overcome this challenge. She said she was moved to tears by the support shown and deeply grateful for everyone who contributed, prayed and helped make the fundraiser possible.
She also expressed special thanks to Michelle Torres, RJ Lopez, Della Padilla, Mackey Heard, Christian Aragon, Noel Gutierrez and Christian Pearson, along with the many others who showed up to help. “My son is always happiest when he’s on stage,” she shared, adding that he writes his own original songs. Christian is expected to undergo surgery at University of Colorado Hospital, and his family said they continue to feel strengthened by the community’s prayers and support.
The artists involved are also welcoming other local artists who would like to join their efforts, as well as businesses interested in sponsoring, donating or helping with travel expenses for the upcoming tour.
