The Los Alamitos Career Fair was a resounding success thanks to the incredible participation of local and statewide professionals who took time out of their day to inspire the next generation. Students had the opportunity to meet with representatives from a wide range of fields, from photography and education to corrections and custom crafts.
In the first photo, Kenneth Brown Photography staff greeted students with friendly smiles, sweet treats, and valuable insight into the world of visual storytelling.
In the third photo, Terry Crowson represented the Western New Mexico Correctional Facility, offering students a closer look at careers in public safety and corrections, complete with hands-on equipment and informative displays.
In the fourth photo, Lisa Salazar of GCCS Human Resources and Samantha Small of Los Alamitos Middle School invited students to consider careers in education and public service. Their table, promoting Grants Cibola County Schools, emphasized opportunities available right here at home.
Thank you to all our community partners including NM DOT, State Farm agents Rosie Morales and Monica Salazar, Cibola County Sheriff's Department Deputy Richard Rangel, New Mexico State Police Officer Rudy Graham, GCCS Technology Team members Isaac Tafoya, Scott Peters, and Aaron Burkes, and Central New Mexico Community College.
A special shoutout goes to Ms. Lopez, our incredible SSA, whose coordination made this event not just possible— but memorable. With teamwork like this, the future of Cibola County is in good hands... and maybe even holding an engraved tumbler.
