Milan Gas Station Homicide Update

MILAN, N.M. – On October 21, 2025, a homicide reportedly occurred at the Allsup’s on Route 66 in the Village of Milan.

Adrian Murrietta and Dominic Jaramillo were at a gas station when Myron Sandoval allegedly pointed a gun at Murrietta after they exchanged rude looks.

Jaramillo and Sandoval reportedly exchanged gunfire, resulting in the death of the Snadoval.

Both suspects were later arrested and charged with various felonies, with Murrietta being charged with Second Degree Murder - Accessory (second degree felony) and Tampering with Evidence - [Highest Crime a Capital, First or Second Degree Felony] (third degree felony) and Jaramillo being charged with Second Degree Murder (second degree felony), Shooting at or from a Motor Vehicle - Great Bodily Harm (second degree felony), and Tampering with Evidence - [Highest Crime a Capital, First or Second Degree Felony] (third degree felony).

Latest on the Cases Adrian Murrietta thwarted a motion for continuance, and the criminal docket was set for November 3, 2025. On November 2, the order placed the defendant to custody for that case only. The following day, a hearing was held to expedite a motion for pretrial detention/preliminary examination, which was set for November 13, 2025.

Dominic Jaramillo remains in custody after the court granted a motion for pretrial detention on November 6 and issued an order placing the defendant to custody for that case only. The following day, the defendant appeared, filed a motion for discovery, a jury demand, a witness list, a request for witness interviews, and a demand for a speedy trial. They also amended the expedited motion for pretrial detention set for November 6, a preliminary hearing for detention was set for continuance on November 6. The hearing granted continuance and rescheduled the pretrial detention to the 18th of November.
