Missing Men Last Seen in Cibola

Two men have gone missing in Cibola County, New Mexico. One man, Stephen Keohane, is missing from Fence Lake and was last seen on October 16. The other missing man is Gregory Bass, the semi-truck driver was last seen walking Interstate 40 between Gallup and Grants on October 24.

At press time, NMSP announced that Bass was found and is safe.

Stephen Keohane

The Cibola County Sheriff’s Office is looking for Stephen Keohane, a 39year-old man who stands six feet tall and weighs 200 pounds. He is missing and potentially endangered, according to the New Mexico State Police. He was last seen on October 16 in Fence Lake. According to CCSO, Keohane has hazel-colored eyes and brown hair. He was last wearing a grey or blue t-shirt with blue jeans and black tennis shoes. He has a blue, green, and yellow tribal tattoo on his left arm, and a black lion with wings tattooed on his chest.

Keohane may be in a white 2017 F-150 with the license plate AXTT61. His direction and destination are not currently known to investigators.

The Cibola County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating Keohane. Anyone with information is asked to call 505-287-9476. Keohane is considered Missing and endangered.

Gregory Bass

The New Mexico State Police has issued a Silver Alert for 64-year-old Gregory Bass.

Bass is a semi-truck driver who was travelling with his wife when their trailer broke down on the road around 4:40 p.m. on October 24. Bass stands six feet, two inches tall. He weighs 170 pounds and is bald with a black beard. Bass is a black man who left the truck to get assistance for the truck, leaving his wife – the driver – with the truck. Bass’ wife believes he may have entered another truck looking for help. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a blue and white shirt, and brown shoes. NMSP is looking for Bass, anyone with information on his disappearance is asked to call 505-863-9353.
