New Mexico Teen Charged with Threats Following Charlie Kirk Assassination

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Federal authorities have charged a 19-yearold New Mexico man with making violent threats on social media in the wake of the assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk.

According to court documents, Jace Allen of Jamestown, New Mexico (an unincorporated community just outside of Cibola, in between McGaffey, Thoreau, and Wingate) allegedly used the alias “Jebron Lames” on X.com to post a series of threats on September 11, 2025, one day after Kirk’s killing. Prosecutors say the posts included threats of mass murder, racist and antisemitic language, and direct threats toward minorities, Jews, and an Ohio city council member.

In one message, Allen allegedly wrote to an Ohio city council official, “You’re gonna be one of the first to die.”

The FBI’s Toledo Resident Agency traced the account to Allen’s phone and residence.

Agents with the Gallup Resident Agency interviewed him at his home on September 11. According to investigators, Allen admitted to making the posts, identified himself as a Neo-Nazi, and said he wanted to help spark a civil war by spreading fear online.

Though Allen told agents he did not own firearms, authorities said a search of his phone uncovered videos showing him firing both a rifle and a handgun in August.

Allen is charged with transmitting communications containing threats to injure another person. He remains in custody pending a detention hearing. If convicted, he faces up to five years in prison.

Acting U.S. Attorney Ryan Ellison and Philip Russell, Acting Special Agent in Charge of the FBI’s Albuquerque Field Office, announced the charges Friday. The Gallup Resident Agency investigated the case, and Supervisory Assistant U.S. Attorney Matthew McGinley is prosecuting.

Officials emphasized that a criminal complaint is only an allegation and that Allen is presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
