On August 4, the Gallup Red Ribbon team handed off to Grants.
The Grants/Cibola County Chamber of Commerce welcomed runners with a barbeque in front of the New Mexico Mining Museum and Grants City Hall— the City of Grants thanked the chamber and their team for the work putting the event together.
In a Facebook post, Grants Mayor Erik Garcia wrote, “my son Maverik, along with Undersheriff Jeff Marez, joined me for the handoff at Skyway to the Acoma team. Thank you to Grants Fire and Rescue, City of Grants Police Department, Cibola County Sheriff and City of Grants for your support along the way. I appreciate our first responders for joining me in the Red Ribbon campaign to help make our community Clean and Safe and drug and alcohol free.”
