CIBOLA COIUNTY – As we prepare to commemorate the Bataan Death March in our April 9 edition, the Cibola Citizen is opening a call for stories, photos, and memories of Cibola County veterans — from every branch, every generation, and every conflict.
Whether your loved one served in World War II, Korea, Vietnam, the Gulf War, Afghanistan, or in peacetime, we want to honor their service.
Even if you only have a photo, a name, a rank, and the branch they served in — that’s enough to help us build a record of remembrance.

The newspaper will be running select tributes in print and saving others for future editions and possible inclusion in a dedicated archive. Our goal is simple: to recognize the sacrifices made by the brave men and women of Cibola County and ensure their service is never forgotten.
