Sheriff’s Office Honors Luann Elkins for Over 30 years of Crime Stoppers Service

CIBOLA COUNTY, N.M. – The Cibola County Sheriff’s Office honored Luann Elkins on June 18 for more than three decades of service on the Crime Stoppers Board.

Sheriff Larry D. Diaz presented Elkins with a letter of appreciation recognizing her “unwavering commitment to public safety and community involvement.” The letter credited Elkins’ leadership, dedication and volunteer service with helping strengthen the partnership between law enforcement and Cibola County residents.

For more than 30 years, Elkins has served as part of Crime Stoppers, a program that supports public safety by encouraging community members to provide information that can help solve crimes. The Sheriff’s Office said her work has helped Crime Stoppers remain a valuable resource for law enforcement and the public.

“Serving on the Crime Stoppers Board for over three decades is a remarkable achievement and a testament to your passion for making a positive difference in the lives of others,” Diaz wrote in the letter.

The Sheriff’s Office thanked Elkins for her years of service, commitment and support, adding that her contributions have left a lasting impact on the community.
