BLUEWATER, N.M. – Bluewater Village Fire Department crews quickly put out a small train fire reported the night of Nov. 15, officials said. Engine 40, Service Engine 40, and Engine 39 responded, with assistance from the Milan Fire Department, Cibola County Rescue, and the Cibola County Sheriff’s Office.
Firefighters brought the incident under control shortly after arrival. No injuries were reported among railroad personnel, responders, or bystanders. A cause was not immediately available, and officials did not release additional details about damage.
