Zuni Man Charged with Murder

Body

ZUNI PUEBLO, N.M. – Zuni man Brian Wallace was charged with committing murder on the pueblo. Court records do not give much information about the murder but show that the alleged murder was meant to stay covered up. So far, only a criminal complaint has been filed in the United States District Court, a complaint is only an allegation and all people are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

The Department of Justice filed a criminal complaint for Wallace, 44, on October 11. The filing was for a murder he allegedly committed on an unknown date on the Zuni Pueblo. The filing claims Wallace murdered John Doe and buried him at an undisclosed residence on the pueblo.

If proven guilty in a court of law for this murder, Wallace faces life in prison. Both Wallace and the alleged victim were enrolled members of Zuni Pueblo. The Gallup Resident Agency of the FBI Albuquerque Field Office is investigating this case. To help further investigate this case, the FBI Phoenix Field Office and Zuni Police Department are assisting. Assistant United States Attorney Nicholas J. Marshall is prosecuting the case.
