CIBOLA COUNTY, N.M. - As of August 22, Bluewater Lake continues its seasonal decline, with a recorded volume of 5,632 acre-feet—down from 5,862 acre-feet on August 11.

Surface area remains around 586 acres, and elevation sits at 7,372.34 feet above mean sea level. Despite the drop, boating conditions remain excellent, according to New Mexico State Parks.

Meanwhile, the Rio San Jose measured a gage height of 2.13 feet on August 22, up slightly from 2.08 feet recorded on August 15. While levels remain low, the river continues to show modest variability in response to local precipitation and seasonal flow patterns.
