N.M. - September is Civics Month in New Mexico—a time to reflect on what it means to be an active, informed citizen. From understanding how local government works to exercising your right to vote, civics education plays a vital role in strengthening our communities.

Here in Cibola County, we’re already preparing for the 2025 Regular Local Election, which will be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2025. Voters will elect city councilors, school board members, trustees, and more—and decide on a key school tax question.

Now is the time to check your voter registration, learn about the candidates, and make sure your voice is heard.
