LAGUNA/ACOMA, N.M. - The Laguna-Acoma boys cross country team received third place at the 2A meet held at Albuquerque Academy last Saturday.
L-A runner Togoya Pedro took the coveted first place in the boys 2A 5k with a time of 15:25.2. “I just kept my foot on the gas,” said Togoya of his win. The L-A boys cross country team placed 3rd. Mia Smith of the Lady Hawks placed 2nd in the 2A girls meet with a time of 20:18.2. The Lady Pirates placed 13th at the state cross country meet.
