GHS Wrestling Travels to Conflict

GRANTS, N.M. - If you follow wrestling in the state of New Mexico, the “big one”, or at least one of them, is “Conflict at Cleveland' where this year 77 boys wrestling teams and 73 girls wrestling teams participated.

The Grants High School boys’ wrestling team finished 54th overall and the Lady Pirates finished 18th overall.

Karnak Bell at 215lbs. and Dominic Otero at 190lbs. Both made it to the second day of wrestling for the boys team.

Raeyna Valdez placed 5th at 120lbs. Valdez defeated while Dakota Billiman placed 7th in the 100lbs. Weight class. Six other girls made it to the second day of wrestling.

Raeyna Valdez also had her 100th high school career win Saturday.
