Lady Pirate Wrestlers Take First at Moriarty

GRANTS, N.M. - The Grants High School Lady Pirates hit gold at the Moriarty Girls Wrestling Tournament last weekend.

With 154.5 points they bested the second place team by a substantial 40 points— -Rio Rancho was the second place team with 114.5 points.

Dakota Billiman placed first in the 105-pound weight class and was also crowned the Queen of the Tournament.

Raeyna Valdez also placed first in the 125-pound weight class.

Notables for the Lady Pirates are Kimberlyn Palmer who placed second in the 140-pound weight class.

Reagan Palmer also placed second in the 145pound weight class.

Lilah Garcia placed second in the 155-pound weight class.

Hayleigh Chavira placed second in the 114-pound weight class.

Sieana Salazar placed third in the 130-pound weight class.

Paizlyn Turley placed third in the 135-pound weight class.

Sophia Romasanta placed third in the 105pound weight class.

Cadence Martinez placed fourth in the 110pound weight class.
