GRANTS, N.M. – The City of Grants is reminding residents that summer mowing and cleaning operations are underway at Grants Memorial Park, located at 500 W. Roosevelt Ave., with regular maintenance scheduled every Wednesday from May through September.
According to the city’s summer 2026 notice, families are asked to remove flowers, decorations and other items from gravesites the day before Wednesday cleanings to help prevent those items from being removed during maintenance work.
The city said the weekly schedule is intended to help keep the cemetery clean, safe and respectful for visitors throughout the summer months.
The city also announced several holidayrelated adjustments to the normal mowing schedule. There will be no mowing on May 13, with the next cleaning scheduled for May 20. There will also be no mowing on May 27, with the next cleaning set for June 3. The next regular cleaning after Father’s Day will take place June 24. In July, there will be no mowing on July 1, with the next cleaning scheduled for July 8. In September, there will be no mowing on Sept. 9, with the next cleaning set for Sept. 16.
City officials said they appreciate the public’s cooperation in helping keep Grants Memorial Park orderly and well maintained during the summer season. For questions regarding the cemetery, residents may contact the City Clerk at (505) 287-7927.
