Filemon Vigil It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dad Filemon Vigil.

Dad was a man of great integrity and will be dearly missed he was a great husband father grandfather great grandfather uncle brother and son He was born in Pecos NM to Antonio Doroteo and Guadalupe Vigil in 1932.

Filemon never knew a stranger and made friends easily he was a devout Catholic and lived his life accordingly he once said that his greatest accomplishment was his family and helping young boys and the boy scouts and boys club to become good men. Filemon worked all his life and taught his children that nothing in life is handed to you, you have to work hard and when you can, work smarter not harder. He said life is choices – you can live sad or be happy, do the right thing or pay the consequences. He said be strong in your faith and in your convictions, God can get you through all your troubles and bless you in your good times.

Filemon is survived by his daughters: Roberta (Greg), and Luanna; and his son: Fil Jr.; He isAlso survived by sister Gloria Barella; Grandchildren, great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 52 years Dolores who called him home on her birthday April 10th; his daughter Alicia Sonneborn, his granddaughter Andrea Wilhelm and grandson Xavier Vigil; his parents Antonio and Guadalupe; brothers: Bartolo, Mauro, and Thomas; sisters: Inez Rose, Josephine, and Nicolasa.

Special thanks to roots Inc the owners Kim and all of her staff our nurses David Moser and Stephanie Smith who have become family It is our hope that all the angels have smiles on their faces when they hear feel their own sweet voice sing Services to be held at St Theresa’s on Friday the 24th of April. The rosary begins at 10 AM with mass to follow.
