CIBOLA COUNTY, N.M. - El Malpais National Monument in Grants and El Morro National Monument in Ramah invite Junior Rangers to come learn about history, science, and conservation this April. Each monument will host a separate Junior Ranger Day event. El Malpais will celebrate Junior Rangers on Saturday, April 18 from 10:00 am 2:00 pm at the Visitor Center located at 1900 E Santa Fe Ave in Grants. Kids' activities will also take place at the Bureau of Land Management Ranger Station on Highway 117, 9 miles south of I-40 exit 89. Visit both locations for a prize!
On Saturday, April 25, El Morro National Monument will have their own Junior Ranger celebration from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm. El Morro is located on Highway 53 around 42 miles from Grants. Leon Nastacio from Zuni Pueblo will demonstrate pottery throughout the event and share his artistic process.
