    This week's Athletes of the Week are:

    Zeth Villasana for the Grants High School Pirate Baseball Team. Villasana scored the winning run against St. Pius two weeks ago and another against Belen this past week. Zeth scored the tie run in the 5th inning and in the 7th inning with bases loaded he hit single to right field to score the winning run.

    Powerlifters Gary Chavez and Devin Chavez placed 1st in their respective weight classes at the New Mexico Activities Association Power Lifting State Championship. Gary Chavez powerlifted at the 242lb. weight class and Devin Chavez at the 123lb. weight class.
