GRANTS, N.M. – Business After Hours by the Grants-Cibola County Chamber of Commerce are returning to celebrate the business of Cibola County. On December 2 the chamber held after hours with Jenny’s, a legacy business in the county, to celebrate the community and the business.

Jenny’s is a store which has been around for 33 years in the Grants area, providing the community with high-end luxury clothing options without the high-end price tag. The store has something special for everybody, especially during the holiday season.

After Hours are not new to businesses of Cibola County, but because of the pandemic had to take a back seat. Chamber Executive Director Brenda Curtwright explained that after hours are important events for community members to network and learn about each other’s businesses. While helping local businesses, after hours present the community with an opportunity to not only do a little shopping, but to meet with the business leaders of the community.

Alene Joyner is the owner of Jenny’s, she thanked the community that has helped support Jenny’s over the years, offering great gratitude to the residents of Cibola County for helping to make Jenny’s successful. Executive Director Curtwright said that the Grants-Cibola County Chamber of Commerce offers opportunities for all businesses in Cibola County, even non-chamber members, because the goal of the chamber is to be beneficial for the whole of the county, not just Grants. Members to the chamber can request that their business holds the next Business After Hours event.

“I believe that our Business After Hours allow for new businesses to come and engage with experienced businessowners. I think it’s a really important thing to start up in Grants, and we’ve done this in the past but its time to get it going again. When businessowners host a Business After Hours they can network, have good conversations about marketing and we can also entice the public to come in and look at the store while finding really good deals and see what Grants has to offer. This community has so much to offer that a lot of our community members don’t always know, but doing these events will help to draw on that and let the community know all the great things we have here.” Curtwright said.

Jenny’s recently moved from their location on Roosevelt Avenue and are now positioned at 1100 West Santa Fe Avenue in Grants, Jenny’s open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
