Hit and run leaves minor injured

GRANTS, NEW MEXICO – In the evening of January 22 a hit and run incident on McBride Road left an area minor injured. The accident remains under investigation by Grants Police Department, and details about this incident were scarce as of press time.

The accident occurred near The Junkyard Brewery on McBride, the minor was not inside the establishment at any point, according to police. Interim Chief Jeff Marez of GPD explained that the minor was walking from Mount Taylor Addition when they were struck. As of press time, GPD has a suspect vehicle in their custody and were awaiting approval of a search warrant. GPD has identified a person of interest in this incident.
