Milan Police Department ort the needs of the comm

Body

Milan Police Department is working hard to support the needs of the community. Seeing a need for coaches in the tee-ball teams in the village, MPD officers decided they would step up and becomecoaches.

With a desire to do what is right, the department opened up the Milan Recreation Department storeroom to get supplies for the kids and found the equipment to be short of what was necessary and in ill repair. Working with the local Walmart, Chief Carl Ustupski and his team received donated funds and went on a small shopping spree to acquire new equipment for the kids.

In this photo, Sergeant Joe Galindo of MPD is seen speaking with the children of Milan. The program fills a need in the Milan community and it gives local youth the opportunity to engage with officers of the law to see that they are human too, and they’re friendly.
