Military Life in the Marines
Councilman George Garcia is the guest speaker this Saturday, July 9 at the Double Six Art Gallery, beginning at 2 p.m. Mr. Garcia will express his thoughts about patriotism, freedoms and liberties from a Marine perspective. Art Camp
“Christmas in July” is the subject of the July 16 Art Camp to be held at the Double Six Art Gallery under the guidance of artist Gilbert Waconda. The camp targets ages 6- 10 and begins at 1 p.m. that Saturday. Mr. Waconda is an award-winning, local talent and has taught art camp members in the past. In keeping with themes of patriotism and liberty, the Double Six Art Gallery will show the 1946 film, “The Stranger.” This is a study of an escaped, Nazi, war criminal. The film will be shown on Saturday, July 30 at 2 p.m. Gallery address is Route 66 / 1001 W. Santa Fe Avenue.
