Car Crash on I-40

A series of car crashes and fires kept Cibola’s fire personnel busy before the evening of July 4. Fire teams responded to a large semitruck fire on Interstate 40, shortly after the Grants Independence Day Parade.

A bad car crash occurred on I-40. Grants Fire and Rescue, assisted by Superior Ambulance and Milan Fire Department, had to extract a person trapped in the car. GFR quickly arrived on scene and performed the life-saving maneuver, sending all occupant of the vehicle to Cibola General Hospital to be evaluated.
