MILAN, NM – On March 9, Milan Police Department and Grants Police Department joined hands to show students at Milan Elementary about the importance of police and public safety in their community. In a Facebook message the school wrote: Thanks to Chief Maxine Monte-Spidle from Grants Police Department, Chief Carl Ustupski, Sergeant Vallejos and Officer Candelaria from Milan Police Department for coming in to talk to our Pre-K classes. They taught them about stranger danger, car safety, personal space and obeying the law. They then got to look at the different units and turn on the sirens. We had a great morning!
