Mike was born May 6, 1951, in Springfield Missouri to Fred Lee Tracy and Joyce Louise Tracy. He was raised in Fairgrove Missouri on his family farm and graduated from Fairgrove High school in 1969. After graduating he moved to Modesto, California and then to the Grants, New Mexico area in 1978. Mike worked as a carpet installer for Martins Carpet until he opened his own business, Tracy’s Floor Coverings, in 1984. Mike was in business in Grants for almost 20 years. You could always see by the look in his eye when he was in the mood to be onery. He loved to fish, hunt and enjoyed most outdoor activities.
He also loved to work with his hands. Mike could do anything he set his mind to. He was a member of the American Legion Post 80 in Grants but was also known to frequent Post 60 in Milan, NM. Mike was preceded in death by his Father Fred Lee Tracy, Mother Joyce Louise Kipp, brother Kenneth Lee Tracy Sr. He is survived by his Daughter Lori Murray, daughter Amy Hawley and husband John Hawley, Daughter Deanna Pledger and husband Michael Pledger, son James Dodrill and wife Amy Dodrill. Grandchildren Raymond Herrera wife Ceci, Ryan Herrera wife Haley, Ashlee Murray, Wyatt Monahan wife Bryleigh, Colton Monahan, Victor Hawley, Wyatt Hawley, Michael Ramirez, Devan Garcia, Jayden Garcia, Kaylyn Pledger, Justin Pledger, James Dodrill and Raquel Dodrill. Great grandchildren Hazel Herrera, Willow Herrera, Marcus Dodrill, Marissa Ramirez, Trevor Monahan, and Zairean Dodrill.
