Quilt Show

November Free Movies
You know “The Arts are for Everyone!” This November, the two gallery movies are “The Monuments Men”, and “The Agony and the Ecstasy”. Venue is the Double Six Art Gallery on Route 66/1001 W. Santa Fe Ave. Time is 11 a.m. Watch for dates and background information.
November 4 Free Movie – “The Agony and the Ecstasy” The movie, “The Agony and the Ecstasy” is based on Irving Stone’s biographical novel about the life of Michelangelo Buonarroti, from his youth to his demise. Although a tortured genius, he left the world the sculptures if David, the Peta, and Moses. The paintings on the Sistine Chapel celling, and poetry. Movie date is Saturday, November 4 at 11 a.m. in the Double Six Art Gallery.
November 18
Only 350 individuals served in the Monuments, Fine Arts, and Archives division during WWII. “The Monuments Men” concentrates on nine members who worked to preserve arts in Germany. This film will be shown Saturday, November 18 at 11 a.m. in the Double Six Art Gallery on Route 66 / 1001 W. Santa Fe Ave. Remember – the arts are for everyone
