Elmer Torrez was born on January 11, 1956 in Flagstaff, AZ. He passed on October 30, 2023. Elmer was a Grants High School Graduate then went to work as a young man with Anaconda Uranium Mines.
Elmer worked there until the early 80's retried early in his life due to disability. Elmer enjoyed the casinos; he loved joyrides in the mountains along with short hiking adventures. Elmer also enjoyed entertaining his friends. Elmer was a Legend.
Elmer is survived by his spouse: Nicoll Goltz; brothers: Clifford (Angela) Torrez, Leo (Cheryl) Torrez and Joey (Norina) Torrez; his sisters: Brenda Duran, Celine (Danny) Vigil, Teresa (Mario) Marquez, and Debbie (Joseph) Jaramillo.
Elmer was preceded in death by his father: Rosaleo Torrez; mother: Dora Torrez; sister: Patricia Torrez; and Bother Ronnie Torrez.
Pallbearers will be Joey and Joseph Torrez. Honorary pallbearers are Clifford Torrez, Leo Torrez, Ronnie Torrez and Joey Torrez. A Funeral Mass is scheduled for Wednesday November 8, 2023 at 9:30am at San Rafael Catholic Church in San Rafael, NM. A reception will follow at the San Rafael Hall.
