Sandra O'Neal, 77, of Grants, NM Sandra passed away peacefully on August 11, 2024, in Grants, NM with her husband Aubrey by her side.

Sandra was born in Oak Hill West Virginia on October 29, 1946, to Bill and Jean Sumner. Sandra retired from the Grants/Milan Post Office after twenty-eight years of service. Sandra was an avid runner and hiker. Having ran eight marathons including Boston, New York and St. George Utah, just to name a few. Sandra also hiked the Appalachian Trail from Georgia to Maine. She loved her pets which included her favorite dachshunds and a siamese cat.

Sandra is survived by her husband of 44 years: Aubrey; sons: Tommy McClung and Brenda of Grants, NM, Billy McClung and Tammy of Los Lunas, NM, and Kristopher Lopez of Santa Fe, NM; brothers: Jim Sumner of Odessa, TX, Preston Sumner and Jefri of Carlsbad, NM; sisters: Carol Ballew of Grants, NM and Mary Sumner of Albuquerque, NM; and several grandchildren.

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents: Bill and Jean Sumner; brothers: Johnny and Larry Sumner.
