Cibola County Selects Hyper-Reach for Emergency Notification System – Key Facts

Hyper-Reach, replacing the existing Code Red system for public safety alerts

Launch Date: 

Expected to be fully operational by the end of September 2024

Notification Methods:

1. Telephone calls, text messages, email 

2. TTY/TDD service for the hearing impaired 

3. Social media, Alexa-enabled smart speakers, browser notifications 

4. FEMA’s Wireless Emergency Alert (WEA) system for mobile phones

Primary Uses:

Alerts for weather and environmental hazards, criminal activity, and missing persons

Landline Enrollment:

Automatically enrolled for Community alerts

Re-enrollment Required:

Residents previously subscribed to Code Red must resubscribe to the new Hyper-Reach system to receive notifications on VoIP phones, mobile phones, and email

This system will serve as an emergency notification center for Cibola County and will not negatively impact the Grants Code Red system.
