Engine 3 from Grants Fire and Rescue is temporarily loaned to the Roswell Fire Department after the recent devastating floods that left multiple Roswell firefighting tools and capabilities damaged by floodwaters.
Despite limited personnel, equipment, and training in swift water rescue, Roswell firefighters performed countless heroic acts, rescuing citizens and handling emergencies in an extraordinary display of dedication. The Roswell dispatch center was overwhelmed with over 600 emergency calls queued during the disaster, underscoring the scale of the challenge.
Roswell citizens and government staff have had the added burden of paperwork in the wake of the disaster. This support from Grants Fire and Rescue is hopeful to relieve some of the issues until the city can get back to full operations.
