Body

Eliseo “Lee” Alcon

Beloved New Mexico State Representative Eliseo “Lee” Alcon passed away January 13, 2025, surrounded loved ones.

Eliseo was preceded in death by his parents: Jesusita and Juan; and sons: Paul and John.

He leaves behind his wife of 50 years: Darlene Alcon; son: David Alcon and daughter-in-law Amanda KinKaid; and daughter Annette Alcon; his grandchildren: Amorette Alcon, Kylette Garcia, and Arik Alcon; and his great-grandson Quinn Alcon.

Eliseo loved New Mexico. He cared about the state and its people. He dedicated his life to serving others, from saving lives during the Vietnam War and serving with bravery and distinction that earned him the Bronze Star, guiding people to the right path during his time as a municipal and later magistrate judge, to representing thousands of his friends and neighbors for 16 years at the Roundhouse where he worked to help the state succeed. He approached his duties humbly and honorably. Eliseo could be counted on to give straightforward answers, advice and opinions on every issue. He prided himself on being a voice for the people and was never afraid to take on a fight to protect their needs.

There is only one thing that Eliseo loved more than serving others-his family. He was a dedicated family man who set the bar high for a dad. Everyone knows that his grandchildren and great-grandson were his apples of his eye, watching them grow and reach for success at every turn.

Representative Alcon will lie in state on Monday, January 20, 2025, from 2pm-7pm at the New Mexico State Legislature. Memorial services are still being finalized and will be shared as soon as available.
