Lady Pirates Wrap Up Season

The Lady Pirates finished their basketball season and did not earn a trip to the big dance—this year.

“The season came to a sudden end—I was saddened and proud,” said Grants High School Lady Pirates first year head coach Jesi Mandagaran. “So much Coulda-Woulda’s on my brain—-we had a good run.”

The Lady Pirates who finished 10-17 and 2-6 have “unfinished business” for next year, said Mandagaran. “At the end of the season I can say the girls found their own personal belief within each other—scores don’t always tell the whole story.”

Mandagaran who had praise for the staff and team was very upbeat on how the team finished the year.

“The way they fought and in the way they rallied together–I’ll take that as a success.”
