Orlando Silva
Orlando went to be with our Lord on March 8, 2025. Orlando was born on October 28,1948 in Santa Fe, N.M. to Joe Silva and Rosa Montoya Silva. He lived in Gallup where he met his wife Rose Marie Carrillo. They got married in 1968. They had four children Mark, Wendy, Cindy & Orlando Jr. They moved to Grants in 1971 where he worked at Anaconda till they closed, then went to work at Western New Mexico Correctional Facility where he retired after 20 years.
Orlando enjoyed his family, grandchildren and his animals. He also enjoyed running, fishing, the casino and working in the yard.
He is preceded in death by his Father Joe, Mother Rosa, Daughter Wendy, Son Orlando Jr, Brother Billy Joe, Brother Jerry and many family members.
He is survived by his Wife Rose Marie, Son Mark, Daughter Cindy, Sister Jo Ann, Brother Phillip, his Aunt Frances, many Cousins, Nephews & Nieces.
Funeral Services will be in Gallup on May 3, 2025 at St Frances Church 411 N 2nd St. Rosary at 10:30 Mass at 11:00. Bural will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. Reception after at Anthony’s Taste Of The Southwest 1219 US-491 Gallup.
