MILAN – Approximately $1.3M is being invested in a pavement overlay on approximately 8 miles of NM 53 between Zuni and Ramah.
Brasier Asphalt, (Contractor) will begin May 5, 2025, on the western section of the corridor at mile marker 21.0 (East of Zuni) and will continue east to mile marker 29.0 (West of Ramah). All work is expected to be complete by May 16, 2025, weather dependent.
The contractor’s work hours are 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. This is a pilot car operation as one lane will be closed in two increments through the construction zone.
Drivers should expect minor delays and plan travel accordingly.
