Mt. Taylor Elementary School, April 10, 2025 - Laughter, music, and belonging filled the halls as kindergarteners, parents, and guardians from across the district gathered for a fun-filled day at the Kindergarten Festival of Talents which had the theme 'I am Unique, I am Gifted, I am Me”. For years, the festival has been organized by Ms. Aiza Delos Santos and supported by dedicated teachers, including those from San Rafael, Bluewater, Cubero, Seboyeta, Mesa View, Milan, and Mt. Taylor Elementary schools.
“The idea was inspired by similar programs I saw back home, and it encourages self-expression and confidence through fun and friendly competition,” said Santos.
From Coloring and Tangram puzzles to Poem Recitation, Draw and Tell, Creative Storytelling, Math Tinik, Vocal Solo, and even a lively Dance Duo, the young participants wowed the judges and audience with their sunshiny confidence and amazing talents.
The organizer and collaborating teachers would like to thank the Grants Cibola County Schools for supporting this joyful event especially Mr. Lane Widner, Superintendent; Dr. Delton Martin, Director of Educator Success; Ms. Amanda Valdez, Mt. Taylor Principal; Ms. Vanessa Marquez, Assistant Principal; and Ms. Melinda Thayer, Instructional Coach.
As if school were a stage, these students had the bright lights they deserved to let their talents shine.
