Francis E. Leftault
Francis E. (Frank) Leftault was born on July 2, 1941, and went to be with his Lord on June 26, 2025, after a lengthy illness. Frank came to Grants in 1977 from his hometown of Bisbee, Arizona.
Frank grew up in Bisbee, worked at the Copper Queen Mine both before and after college, and after his time in service. When Frank came to Grants, he was a geologist and then a businessman running POTCO Portable Toilets before his retirement.
Frank was an officer and a decorated veteran of the Vietnam War. Frank served in the special forces during his time in South America. He reached the rank of captain and was the commander of his unit in Vietnam. He was a member of the 101st Airborne, 265 RRC in Vietnam.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Jessie Leftault, and brother, Charles Leftault II. Frank is survived by his wife, Carolyn Leftault; sons: Eric King and Daryl Leftault; stepdaughter, Gay Simpkins; grandsons: Amos and Woodie Simpkins; great-grandsons: A.J. and Lincoln Simpkins; niece, Lisa Norton; and nephew, Tom Leftault.
Funeral Services for Frank will be held at Immanuel Baptist Church, 518 Valencia Ave. Milan, New Mexico, on Thursday, July 10, at 10:00. The pallbearers are Eric King, Daryl Leftault, Tom Leftault, Woodie Simpkins, A.J. Simpkins, and Jimmy Garcia. Honorary pallbearers are Amos Simpkins, Lincoln Simpkins, and Hamilton Dorsey. The internment service will follow at the Grants Memorial Park Cemetery. Donations in memory of Frank can be made to the Wounded Warrier Project or to Immanuel Baptist Church, P.O. Box 2027, Milan, NM 87021.
Frank will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
