Smith (Adair) Shirley Jean Smith (Adair) was born on November 28, 1930, in Ramah, New Mexico, to Kenneth Roy Adair and Ella Adair (Merrill). She departed this life peacefully on July 7, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love and family.
Shirley is survived by her brother: Albert Adair; and her devoted children: Bill Smith (Wanda), Melody Hamilton (Doug), Tanya Williams, Bryan Ashcroft, and Valerie Anderson (Arlie). She will be fondly remembered by her numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews, who cherished her warmth and kindness.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husbands: Floyd Clark and Stanley Smith; as well as her stepson: Allan Smith; stepdaughters: Marion Parker and Zangie Yazzie; son: John Clark; sister: La Von Thomas; and brothers: Kenneth Stradling, Paul, and Lyle Adair.
Shirley was preceded in death by: Kenneth Adair, Ella Merrill.
A graveside service will be held in her honor at Bluewater Village Cemetery on Monday, July 21, 2025. The graveside viewing will commence at 10:30 AM, followed by the service at 11:00 AM. A reception will take place at the Bluewater Community Center at 12:00 PM, offering family and friends the opportunity to celebrate her life and share cherished memories.
Shirley Jean Smith will be remembered as a devoted homemaker and a loving matriarch, whose spirit will continue to inspire all who knew her. She will be deeply missed.
