Frances Lea (Calhoun) Ford, July 11, 1938 – August 4, 2025, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, greatgrandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 4, 2025, at the age of 87.
Born on July 11, 1938, Frances lived a life rooted in faith and family.
She is survived by her loving husband: Virgil Ford, Jr.; her daughters: Nita Ford, Donna (Willie) Janish, and Kathy (Tim) Pitman; along with three cherished grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her immense joy and pride.
A Celebration of Life service was held on August 11, 2025, at Grace Baptist Church in Milan, New Mexico, with interment at the Ford Ranch.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Frances’s memory to the Baptist Children’s Home in Portales, New Mexico, an organization close to her heart.
Frances will be remembered for her feisty, outgoing personality, unwavering faith, and the love she poured into every life she touched. Her legacy lives on in the hearts and hands of those who loved her.
