Barbara Jones

Barbara Jones passed away on June 8, 2025, at her home in Milan, N.M. at the age of 86. She was born on August 3,1938 in Gallup, N.M. She spent most of her life in the Grants/San Mateo area.

She is survived by her sisters Mary Jane Austin, Florence Kessler, and brother Ernie Salazar. She is also survived by her four children, Sandra Matthews, Gary Gillaspy (Melissa), Ronald Gillaspy (Darlene), and Patricia Gillaspy. Grandchildren Vanessa Martinez (Ty), Danelle Gillaspy, Erica Clampitt (Brian), Monique Gillaspy, and eight great grandchildren. She is also survived by five step grandchildren, and five step great grandchildren and one on the way.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert Salazar, Aurelio Salazar Jr., and Benses Salazar. Son-in-law Dick Matthews as well as her parents Aurelio and Sarah Salazar.

She was loved by all and will be missed dearly.
