Crystal Jean Chavez
Crystal Jean Chavez, 51, born in Albuquerque, NM passed away January 2, 2025. Crystal was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Fransiquita and Jorge Chavez, maternal grandparents Vivian and Estevan Baca of Cubero, NM, nieces Vanessa, Stacy, and nephew Cesar Chavez along with other loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Raymond Tenorio Sr, sons, Andre and Raymond Jr; daughters Vanessa and Audriana of Southern California. In addition, she is survived by her parents, Beatrice and George Chavez Sr. and, Brothers, George Jr, Francisco and Juan Chavez of Cubero, NM, Grandchildren, Cataleya, Mateo, Naomi, Raymond, Julian, Jesse and Mila of Southern California.
Crystal enjoyed her career for over 25 years in the medical industry working for Presbyterian in Albuquerque, New Mexico and Loma Linda in San Bernadino, California. Crystal was an extraordinary Mother she loved all her Family and loved going to Disneyland. She was the family baker with cake pops always in hand ready. She enjoyed her collection of purses no matter how far she had to drive to get them. She loved to joke around and make people laugh. She was Fierce and protected everyone she loved. Crystal was the best Nana and showed love and welcomed everyone she encountered. Knowing Crystal was knowing Love.
In March 2022, Crystal encountered an injury. After a long battle, Crystal is finally at rest. She passed away surrounded by her loving family. During her life, she showed us what being strong truly meant. She is finally free of any pain and is resting in peace. This is not goodbye but see you later. We will find you in every lifetime.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 7, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Light Catholic Church, 17 Water Canyon Road in Cubero, NM. Reception immediately following at same location.
